John McDonald is a former professional baseball infielder. He has played in Major League baseball for various teams, like the Cleveland Indians,Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, and Arizona Diamondbacks. He was also a utility infielder in which he played second base, third base, and left infield. He is known for his defensive ability.

Early life:
He met Maura, his future wife-to-be in a freshman English class at Providence College in 1995. They have two kids, Jacqueline and Anthony. As encouraged by his wife, he was able to finish his studies in Providence College School of Continuing Education in 2006 and earned a degree in Liberal Studies.
