Darryl Sittler is a former professional ice hockey player. A talented player, Darryl Sittler played in the National Hockey League from 1970 to 1985. He played with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1970 and was named team captain in 1975. As a captain in his first season, Darryl Sittler finished with an impressive 41 goals and 59 assists. In 1982, Darryl Sittler was drafted to the Philadelphia Flyers and earned his fourth All-Star game. Eventually, Darryl Sittler was traded to the Detroit Red Wings where Sittler declared it as a disappointment. For his talent and contributions to the sport, Darryl Sittler was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1989. In addition to this, Darryl Sittler was also elected to the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2003, and the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2016. Outstandingly, he was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in 2017.
