Career: John Barnes is a former professional football player and team manager. Currently, he works for ESPN and SuperSport as a commentator and pundit. As a player, he was a talented left winger and a central midfielder. While playing with Liverpool, he won two league titles. He also won 79 international caps for England. He also managed Celtic, Jamaica, and Tranmere Rovers. Outside his football career, Barnes appeared in several shows like Russell Howard’s Good News and Who Do You Think You Are. Early life: John Barnes was born in 1963 in Kingston, Jamaica. At 12 years old, he and his family moved to London, England where he attended St. Marylebone Grammar School and Haverstock School, Camden Town. He was also able to manage to balance his time with studies and playing football. He played youth football for four years at the Stowe Boys Club in Paddington.
