Nik Antropov is a former professional ice hockey player who has played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with various teams, such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Atlanta Thrashers, and the Winnipeg Jets. Interestingly, Nik Antropov scored the first goal against the Montreal Canadiens when he was playing for the Winnipeg Jets in 2011. In addition to his NHL career, Nik Antropov also played in the 2006 Winter Olympics. Prior to being an Olympian, Nik Antropov represented Kazakhstan during the IIHW World Championship in 1998. This was followed by the 1999 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. While playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nik Antropov received Canadian citizenship in 2007. Ice hockey is probably in the genes with the family as his oldest son, Danil, plays in the Ontario Hockey League as a forward.
