About Ron MacLean

Ron Maclean is a sportscaster based in Canada and works for CBC and Rogers Media. He is known for being the host of the Hockey Night in Canada and began hosting telecasts in Toronto. He then hosted his first Stanley Cup Final and one of his duties include hosting Coach’s Corner with Don Cherry. Ron Maclean also worked as a referee with Hockey Canada in addition to his work in CBC. He refereed in different levels of hockey games across Canada, especially in the Southern Ontario region. With his service in the broadcasting industry, Ron Maclean has won several awards, including eight Gemini Awards for his work in CBC, Best Sports Broadcaster Award, and Best Host or Interviewer in a Sports Program or Sportscast. In addition to his service in the industry, he also helped to rescue a man who was trying to commit suicide by jumping into the Delaware River.
