Career: David Andrew Seaman, MBE is a former football goalkeeper. He is known for his years playing for Arsenal. He won 75 caps for England and was considered to be England’s most capped goalkeeper. Playing for Arsenal led him to win three league championships, four FA Cups, the League Cup, and the European Cup Winners Cup. He also played internationally for England in the FIFA World Cups in 1998 and 2002. This also includes playing in Euro 96 and Euro 2000. Seaman is considered to be a well-rounded goalkeeper and known for his bravery, agility, and quick reflexes. He was nicknamed “safe hands” because of his ball control, efficiency, and reliability. David Seaman had television appearances such as a cameo role in a BBC film, My Summer with Des. After his retirement from the sport, Seaman became one of the celebrities to be part of Strictly Ice Dancing. In 2012, Seaman became a goalkeeping coach when he joined the Combined Counties League club.
