About Guy Carbonneau
Guy Carbonneau is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. Guy Carbonneau started his ice hockey career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockley League. He scored an impressive 182 points with the Sagueneens and was drafted in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. Guy Carbonneau has established himself as a defensive forward and greatly helped advancing the Canadiens to a Stanley Cup championship in 1985-1986. This was followed by successive wins that made him captain of the Canadiens. He won his third Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars. As a tribute to the player, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League created the Guy Carbonneau trophy. The trophy is annually awarded to the best defensive forward player in the league. In 2009, Guy Carbonneau worked as an analyst for the CBC Sports Hockey Night in Canada. In 2019, Guy Carbonneau was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame due to his talent and dedication to the sport.
