Wally Weir is a former bruising NHL player who played 470 pro games from 1976 to 1985. Some of his highlights include fighting in the penalty box of Maple Leaf Gardens and winning the Avco World Championship! Ask him about his AHL record for most penalty minutes in a game (54min) for a laugh. Wally played for the Quebec Nordiques, the Hartford Whalers and the Pittsburgh Penguins (his final NHL season was Mario Lemieux’s rookie year).
