Jason Robinson OBE

Career: Jason Robinson OBE is a former dual code international rugby league and rugby union footballer. He played as a wing of fullback and interestingly won 51 rugby union international caps for England. He is renowned for his speed, acceleration, and the ability to beat the defenders. What makes him even more amazing is the fact that he was the first black man to captain the England team. He likewise won 12 caps for Great Britain and seven caps for England. Robinson is also a Member of the Order of the British Empire and was appointed in 2008 as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.

Early Life: As a child, Robinson was nicknamed. “Billy Whizz”, after one of the characters in the British comic, The Beano.
