About John Barnes MBE

John Barnes is a former professional football player and manager. Currently, he works in ESPN and SuperSport as a commentator and pundit. During his prime in playing football, John Barnes played as a left winger and later on shifted to being a central midfielder. In 1999, John Barnes was appointed as head coach of the Celtic. John Barnes left Watford in 1987 to join Liverpool. After which, John Barnes continued his football career with Newcastle United in 1997. He was not only talented with football. John Barnes also ventured in the music industry where he performed the Keith Allen-penned rap section of the New Order’s “World in Motion”.
