Early life: John Barnes was born in 1963 in Kingston, Jamaica. At 12 years old, he and his family moved to London, England where he attended St. Marylebone Grammar School and Haverstock School, Camden Town. He was also able to manage to balance his time with studies and playing football. He played youth football for four years at the Stowe Boys Club in Paddington.
