About Ossie Ardiles

Career: Ossie Ardiles, is a football manager, pundit, and former football player. As a member of the Argentina national team, he was one of the key personalities who led them to win in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. The footballer is a competitive and skilled midfielder. His love for the sport never led him astray as he chose to start a management career in England after his retirement. He coached Swindon Town, Newcastle United, and West Bromwich Albion. After these missions, he returned to Tottenham to become the first Argentinian to manage the team in the Premier League. He also coached several national teams such as Mexico, Croatia, Japan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Paraguay and Argentina. Ossie Ardiles was on the list of RTE Sport pundits for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He also played as Carlos Rey in the 1981 film Escape to Victory. Ossie Ardiles was married to Silvia Navarro. Currently, Ardiles runs and manages his own football school in the United Kingdom.
