Tony Dorigo is a former professional footballer born in Australia. He played as a defender from 1983 to 2001 for various football teams. He started his career for Aston Villa and made his league debut against Ipswitch in 1984. Tony Dorigo then signed for Chelsea where he won the club’s Player of the Year award in his first season. Tony Dorigo had 180 appearances with Chelseas and also had 11 goals. Tony Dorigo also won the First Division with Leed United during his first season with the club. With his charisma, he was also given the Fans’ Player of the Year award. Tony Dorigo never had the chance to represent Australia in international competitions. However, Tony Dorigo was approached by The Football Association to represent England.
